It's not much bigger than the Burke but has a much large table. The Hardinge also has an available vertical head. The horizontal spindle takes 5C's and the vertical is 3C so tooling is not an issue for these machines. Within the context of small horizontal or universal mills, I can't imagine anyone having anything bad to say about a Hardinge.

It is a horizontal mill with an overarm support and the factory provided a vertical head for it.
