I have used Al's 2x72 grinder for over five years and it works great. Nothing has worn out on it and the only mod I have done to it is put a hardened O1 plate on the platen. It uses a Baldor DC speed control, A Leeson motor and Bader wheels. When I bought it the price was about $300 less then a KMG.
